Job Title: Test Manager

Department: OSS

Location: Faridabad, Haryana, India

We are looking for a highly experienced Test Manager to lead our QA function, encompassing both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will define and implement robust testing strategies, manage resources effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality product releases. This is a leadership role requiring a blend of technical expertise, process management, and strong people management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the QA team (manual and automation testers).
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve test strategies, plans, and processes.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely, high-quality releases.
  • Collaborate with Product, Development, and DevOps teams on release planning.
  • Establish QA KPIs, drive metric-driven reporting, and ensure risk-based testing.
  • Manage and optimize test environments, tools, and automation frameworks.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and upskill QA team members.
  • Handle stakeholder communication, conflict resolution, and cross-team alignment.

Technical Skills

Automation:

  • Proficiency with automation tools: Selenium, Playwright, Appium, etc.
  • Knowledge of test frameworks in at least one language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
  • Understanding of test architecture: API testing, UI testing, load testing.

Manual:

  • Strong grasp of test case design techniques, exploratory testing, and defect tracking.
  • Experience with test management tools: Zephyr, Xray, or equivalent.

Process & Management Skills

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and allocate QA resources effectively.
  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Release planning and execution with risk management focus.

Soft Skills

  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior QA engineers.
  • Conflict resolution and decision-making skills.

Optional Certifications

  • ISTQB Advanced Level or Test Architect certifications (preferred).

Education & Experience

  • Qualification: B.Tech (Computer Science) or equivalent.
  • Experience: 12–15 years in software testing, with at least 5+ years in a managerial/leadership role.
